Awarding Function

cheque book

Part of the endorsement process for the UKCC involves the national governing bodies (NGBs) of sport showing that there is a clear separation of roles between who delivers the qualification and who awards the qualification.

Therefore, for the purpose of the UKCC, the NGBs of sport need to decide if they are to become an awarding body themselves or if they are to link with an awarding body. This process will require some research so that you can make the right decision for your sport. What are the pros and cons of becoming an awarding body yourself? If I choose to link with an awarding body which awarding body will best suit my sport’s needs?

Part of the CCPR’s role is to help sports make this decision. They have posted information around awarding body issues and will be able to advise you the sports on the best way forward.
