UKCC Resource Development Forum
Date: 14 July 2005 - 10.00am - 4.30pm Location: Novotel Hotel, Leeds
Delivered on the 14th of July this forum focussed on learning resource developments for both coaches and coach education workforces. The event was open to all 31 sports and feedback from those in attendance was very positive. Key aims were to provide sports with the following:
- the latest information regarding how sports can support sports in resource developments - the latest research regarding learner centred resource developments - a forum to discuss and challenge 'how to ensure that we are designing and developing coach centred resources' - real life examples of resource work to date from a number of sports and other organisations, focussing on a variety of formats
These aims were attended to by presentations from Helen Davey (Executive Director of Professional Development), Emma Atkins (Head of scUK Solutions team), Steve McQuaid (Education and Training Manager) and keynote speaker Mark Griffiths (Senior Lecturer in sports and coaching studies at Oxford Brookes University) as well as a variety of afternoon workshops.
